Acid BKML Black Machined Lip
- Test fitment of your new rims to vehicle first, before fitting the tyre.
- Test PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) centre bore offset and x-factor clearance.
- If the rim does not fit first time to hub, do not force on. May be the wrong PCD.
- Ensure correct nuts or bolts are being used. A minimum of 5 full revolutions of the nut or bolt must be attained.
- If wheel nuts/bolts do not fit smoothly up to torque, do not force tighten. If force is used, the bolt/nut may be incorrect and may strip the thread.
- Check if centre ring (spigot) is required. The spigot will centre the rim onto the hub, ensuring far greater wheel/tyre balance.
- Once fitted, spin wheel & tyre combo before lowering vehicle. This will ensure that the rim/tyre is centered correctly.
- Torque wheel bolts/nuts to manufacturers specifications in correct sequence. This will ensure correct torque around the entire contact area.
- Ensure that you use the correct wheel spanner fitment.
- Re-torque wheel bolts/nuts 100 km - 500 km after fitment of new rims
WHEEL CARE
It is important to keep your wheels clean at all times. Protect your investment.
Some alloys have a transparent top coating designed to provide both protection and an ideal finishing gloss. This transparent protective coating must be maintained with the same care given to your car’s paint finish.
We suggest cleaning the wheels frequently to keep dirt and break dust from altering the gloss finish. Remember, they’re often the dirtiest part of your vehicle because they are constantly exposed to the elements (corrosive brake dust, ocean salt, paint-chipping stones and sticky tar).Your brakes will cause the wheels to heat up, this heat in turn can cause any dirt or brake dust to bake into the clear coat, thus cleaning regularly is essential.
The best wheel cleaning solution is mild soap and water. (Avoid alcohol based products, solvents, petrol etc.)
Remember to hose all the loose abrasive grit off first. Clean with a soft un-abrasive cloth. Aluminum wheel polish can be used on polished wheels.
Do not use strong steam cleaners in automatic car washers. Hot steam can dull the paint and clear coat finish on your wheels. Even cause the clear coat to start peeling. Do not use tyre cleaners on Alloy wheels. Clean wheels when cool and one wheel at a time. This prevents the soap from drying and becoming difficult to rinse off. Water dries much faster at higher temperatures. Every type of interference with the rim material (heating, welding, and adding of materials, or even engraving, etching and grinding, general repairs) results in a change in material properties and invalidates the strength test report.Your wheels have been made according to the highest standards so take good care of them.
