The Sumitomo HTR A/S P01 (High Tech Radial,All-Season,Premium 1st Generation) tire line includes H- and V-speed rated High Performance All-Season radials developed to meet the year-round driving needs of sports car, coupe and sedan drivers by blending dry and wet road performance with all-season wintertime traction. The HTR A/S P01 radials use Sumitomo's high-tech materials and manufacturing methods to blend high performance with all-season traction, even in occasional light snow.

The HTR A/S P01 radial's all-season silica tread compound is molded into a five-rib directional pattern that blends performance with year-round traction. Independent shoulder and intermediate tread blocks flank a continuous center rib to deliver dry road cornering and stability. Four wide circumferential and multiple lateral grooves reduce the risk of hydroplaning to enhance wet traction while strategically placed sipes provide additional biting edges to increase light snow traction.

The HTR A/S P01 radial's internal structure features two rigid steel belts reinforced by Jointless Nylon Band (JNB) technology that uses spirally wound nylon reinforcement to provide long-term integrity under high speed conditions while it reduces tire weight and promotes more uniform ride quality. A high-tension polyester casing with high ply turn-ups anchored by an engineered bead package provide uniform wheel fit for responsive handling.
